I missed the State of Oregon audit written objection or conference appeal; what do I do?

Following the 30-day appeal options that the Notice of Deficiency gives you, a Notice of Assessment will be issued. So you are still in good shape. You have appeal rights with this letter, to the Oregon Tax Court Magistrate Division within 90 days of the letter’s date.

Keep in mind that if you miss this letter and its appeal rights, then you will have to pay the taxes and file a complaint in court for what is called a refund suit to contest the assessment.
